

life He was born on 30 September 1892 in Samborzec of Poland. In 1902 he started his studies at men's high school in Sandomierz. priesthood
In 1908 he joined a seminary. In 1915 he received holy orders and he started his service in parishes of Sandomierz region. At that time he asked his authorities to let him work as an army forces chaplain but his request was rejected. In 1938 he initiated the construction of garrison church in Gdynia Oksywie. army forces On 1st June 1919 he was designated the Polish Navy chaplain. 10th February 1920 - he took part in the ceremony of Poland's Wedding to the Sea which took place in Puck. In April he was the chaplain and educational officer of Polish Navy Port Headquarters in Puck, and in July he became chaplain of Marine Regiment. He participated in 1st Marine Battalion fights during the Polish-Soviet War which lasted from 1919 till 1921. Marshal Jozef Pilsudski awarded Miegon the Silver Cross of Virtuti Militari Medal. In 1920 he came back to his work as the Navy Headquartes chaplain. In 1924 he was also chaplain of Naval Port Headuqrters in Gdynia. On 29 May 1921 he ran a special service connected with the beginning of building the port in Gdynia. From 1929 to 1933 he studied canon law at Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski in Lublin. On 1 January 1934 he was promoted to the post of older chaplain and he became chaplain of The Polish Fleet Headquarters. He still was acting as The Naval Port Headquarters chaplain as well. In 1936 Wladyslaw Miegon participated in the funeral ceremony of general Gustaw Orlicz-Dreszer - heroic defender of Gdynia. During the September Campaign in 1939 Miegon participated in the Land Coastal Defence fights. On 19 Septeber he was taken captive by Germans. On 2 October he was transported from Gdynia to Flansburg on board of the vessel Ms''Wilhelm Gustloff''. At first Miegon was taken to Stalag IX C in Rothenburg and later to concentration camp in Buchenwald. From 8 July to 15 October 1942 he was prisoner number 21223 of concentration camp in Dachau and on 15 October 1942 Wladyslaw Miegon was killed there.
